2,018 miles in 2018 Challenge February Recap and Week 9
February has been an EXCELLENT month! 2018 has gotten off to an awesome start and I’m so incredibly thankful for all of the blessings I’ve had so far this year.
February was also a great running month. Even though this was a short month, I surpassed the number of miles I ran in January. I ran the Disney Princess Glass Slipper Challenge (10K + Half Marathon) on February 24th and 25th. The time in Disney significantly increased my “total miles” since I not only ran the races, but walked around the parks all weekend.
Total miles for February: 318
Total “Running” miles so far for 2018: 489.8

The best thing about Spring is that Half Marathon races pop up everywhere! The weather is starting to warm up ad it’s perfect running weather. I like having a race on my schedule to keep me motivated. The BB&T Corporate Cup is on March 10th and The Asheville Biltmore Half Marathon is coming up on March 17 (St. Patrick’s Day)!
I plan to check out the local half marathon calendar to see if I can find any others in my area. I know there are a few at the National White Water Center, but I can’t do trail races. I am too scared of falling and twisting an ankle!
