Why did I start RunDisney Mom?
In 2010, I weighed ~220 pounds, wore a size 22/24 and smoked a pack of cigarettes a day. I was tired of feeling like crap, so I signed up to run the Walt Disney World Marathon in 2011, quit smoking and ended up losing 80 pounds in the process.
I never thought I’d run a marathon, but I knew that the only place on earth that would motivate me to run 26.2 miles would be Walt Disney World!
Since then I’ve run four marathons, ~60 half marathons, three triathlons and numerous 5Ks/10Ks.
The following year, I was selected to be on the Disney Parks Moms Panel and I am honored to answer guest’s questions about the most magical place on earth!
I also obtained my RRCA running coach certification.
