2,018 miles in 2018 Challenge Week 12
I am so glad that I recovered from my injury last week! I was feeling a bit tired this week after that run on Saturday. I’m not sure if it’s a combination of the fact that I PR’ed it or if it’s because there were so many hills or the fact I took three days off, then got back into it, but my legs felt like bricks! On Monday, I was aiming to get in 14 miles, but I could only eke out 9.4 and that was over the course of three runs!!! I ran in the morning, at lunch at in the evening to get those miles in because I kept feeling so tired after running. I finally gave up at 9.4 miles. The next day, I was still tired. I ran only 7.4…even less than the previous day. Then my energy finally picked up on Wednesday, I ran 11, then 13.2 on Thursday. On Friday I did weights, 100 burpees and 5 miles, then on Saturday I ran 15 miles. I was super proud of my 15 miles because that is the most I’ve run since my marathon in October. I typically top out at 13. Total running miles for the week were 61 and total miles overall were 71.02. I left the Rocktape on my legs for the entire week and it really helped a lot. I can definitely feel a difference when I run with the Rocktape vs. without.
On Sunday, I didn’t work out, but I did mow the grass and play Four Square with my daughter to enjoy the beautiful weather.
I’ve been obsessed with a few things this week:
- The new Queer Eye for the Straight Guy on Netflix! OMG!! LOVE! I totally binge watched this and am totally obsessed. But now I’m super sad that I watched every episode and there are none left. I have end of season depression!
- The Texture app! I discovered this and I’m like, where has this been my entire life??? I LOVE magazines. I think it’s because my dad used to buy me and my mom magazines from the local book store every week when I was a kid. I looked forward to my new TeenBeat every week. I love to read mags while on the treadmill, before I go to sleep, while waiting for an appointment…This app has literally every magazine you can imagine. I cancelled all my print magazines because I just use this app now.
- I’ve been watching FlowerBomb31 on YouTube when I run. I love her videos because she gives her honest opinion about the makeup she uses and I love her makeup and fashion hauls! I think she is so real and her makeup is gorgeous.
- I am a makeup hoarder, which you can probably tell by my FabFitFun box reviews, but over the past few weeks I’ve been going through my makeup and throwing out all the old stuff that no longer works (I’m looking at you Erase Paste by Benefit) and I’m buying new stuff to see if it works. I am in love with the Anastasia Beverly Hills – Brow Wiz pencil. This has worked great to shape my eyebrows.
