I have having a super hard time getting out of the door in a reasonable amount of time in the morning, as I mentioned in my post last week.
So I needed breakfast options that I could grab and eat at my desk after my workout. I LOVE oatmeal, but I don’t like the instant oatmeal packets. They are filled with sugar, artificial flavors and the oats are overly processed. Not to mention, I barely have time to get to my desk for my first call of the day, much less have time to get to the microwave.
I decided to use my cute little mason jars to make myself overnight oats. These are so easy to make, I hesitate to even call this a recipe.
1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
1/2 cup old fashioned oats
1 tsp cinnamon
Add to jar. Shake. Put in fridge. That’s IT!
This is so, super yummy.
There are so many options and varieties. I love PB Fit powder, and it works really well with oats and bananas. Do you like overnight oats? Have you ever tried them?
